Our Story

Bazaaf inspired by Yusra Al buazati a European Moroccan woman with Berber descent. She has been brought up in a mix cultured environment. She was embedded by the art of Morocco in her household with her parents. After gaining 8 years of experience in the business world, she decided to launch Bazaaf.com
She always had a passion for entrepreneurship and fashion. Therefore, she had the inspiration to create a place where she could display her own designs and give the opportunity to other Moroccan women who have limited resources and reach to showcase their work. Bazaaf displays, amazing, handcrafted designs created by Moroccan traditional designer, crafted by Moroccan handcrafter and Moroccan embroidery artisans.

In contrary of all the designers, most of the traditional clothes I was seeing were the clothes that my dear mother was wearing, being raised in a mix environment with a European and a Moroccan culture I started from an early age to admire the art of the Moroccan embroidery. When I was visiting the different cities of Morocco, I would see how diverse and detailed the women clothing was. I started to go to different Atelier and watch the artisan work for hours and hours. I started to draw dresses traditional to my Moroccan routes as a way to stay connected with my Berber and Moroccan culture.

Bazaaf means in the Moroccan dialect “a lot”. I always liked this word because when I use this word in any region of the Arab world people knew I had a Moroccan identity. Fashion is a statement, being able to offer the opportunity for any women around the world to wear a piece of traditional Moroccan wear is for me the best way to share the beauty and the complexity of the Moroccan amazing history of art.
